See this content in the original post

As Scare LA 2015 ends and haunt season begins to approach us, Scare LA was the place to be for any haunt/halloween fan. This year marks Scare LA's third year as one of the biggest Halloween convention's in Southern California. This year's Scare LA convention took place this past weekend at the Pasadena Convention Center. As promised Scare LA was bigger and better this year with so much to see and great panels taking place almost every hour. The convention was great because so many horror fans showed upand it seems that every year it improves. This is the comic-con of horror conventions.

The new location for Scare LA is much bigger than before which means there is more to see this time around at Scare LA. As you enter the convention you are greeted by an impressive display by Bone Yard FX, one of my favorite FX companies in the haunt business. Bone Yard FX are the talented people who bring the brilliant makeup FX year after year for Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood.

Along with the 200+ vendors selling everything a Haunt/Halloween fan could want there is plenty to see and do. Classes, seminars and workshops are available, from special FX workshops, to home haunt work shops and so much more. This year's screening room got expanded showing premier local horror filmmaker's films on the big screen. Since Scare LA had a bigger space to work with they were able to have a lobby area dedicated to local haunts. You could go to a small maze from each haunt just to give you a taste of what is about to come this haunt season.

We had a chance to see some of the panels at Scare LA the first being Making Monsters which had the creative from from Six Flags Fright Fest, Queen Mary's Dark Harbor, Knott's Scary Farm and Halloween Horror Nights. For more info on the panel a video is linked below.

What halloween convention would be complete without seeing the Halloween Horror Nights panel at Scare LA? This year's panel had John Murdy and Chris Williams unveiling this years new maze Halloween: Michael Myers Comes Home. A video will also be at the bottom of the article and the link to that article will be here

I would like to thank Victor Espino for helping me with the photos. All these amazing photos were taken by him for more photos by him click here

We would also like to give a special thank to Scare LA for inviting us to the event, we had such a blast this year covering the event and we can't wait to see what else they have in store for next year's Scare LA. For more info on visit ScareLA.com
